Product description

Built from approximately 13mm thick plywood, this shield is covered with linen and richly decorated with hand-painted Celtic crosses with knot motifs. An umbo sits at the center, secured with four rivets. The back is painted black and features a sturdy wooden handle. This wooden shield is a bit too light and thin for full contact sword fighting, but it makes a great accessory for reenactment, LARP, stage, or television and film. It also works beautifully as a collection or exhibition piece — a decorative object for history lovers and Celtic enthusiasts alike.
