Product description

This tunic is based on various Roman tunic examples dating from the second half of the 1st century BC to the second half of the 1st century AD. Find parallels on Roman gravestones in Bonn, on the Luxor fresco in Egypt, and in the excavations of Legio VIII Augusta at the fort of Vindonissa in Switzerland. Made from sturdy cotton, it reflects authentic construction. Originally, tunics had no sleeves. Some were made from more fabric, which naturally formed sleeves. Legionaries wore tunics in various colors, including red.
