Product description
This oil lamp is modeled after an original from the 1st century AD. It features a depiction of two gladiators surrounded by a laurel wreath. Oil lamps were the main source of artificial light during the Roman Empire and for centuries after. They were made in a wide variety of styles.
Originally burned with olive oil, this lamp works just as well with modern lamp oil. Made by hand using two different molds, it is fired at 1,200 °C. Made from red clay, terra sigillata, it measures 14 cm in length. Comes with a wick included.
