This diploma is a replica of an original from 107 AD excavated in Weißenburger, Bavaria.

The coveted military diploma is proof that the owner earned Roman citizenship by serving in the Roman army for a period of usually 25 years.

The military diploma lists the name of the emperor the person served under, the legion he served in, and the commanding officer. It then describes the granting of Roman citizenship to the diploma's owner and his family. Diplomas were originally made from bronze.

Made from plaster alabaster, this replica measures 16 x 12.5 cm and includes a hanging hook on the back for mounting it on a wall.
