Doublets were extremely popular in the 16th century. During this period, a leather jacket or vest was sometimes worn over the doublet. This style was worn from the first half of the 16th century onward.
The Geoffrey doublet is a close-fitting upper garment. Ideal for 16th-century noble costumes, musketeers, and pirates — as well as bards, jongleurs, and merchants. The decorative brass fastenings are hand-cast, giving the doublet a noble and antique character. A great choice for a LARP event or medieval festival.
