Unlike other Viking Thor's hammers — which typically feature a simple design — the 'Ödeshög Thor's hammer' stands out for its decorative appearance. The design closely follows the historical original. The main difference: the original was made with applied granules, while this replica is cast in a single piece. The 'Mjölnir' was the magical hammer of the Norse god Thor. He used it to fight the enemies of the gods. In the 9th and 10th centuries, old believers wore the Mjölnir to set themselves apart from the Christians.
