This model building kit is based on Roman city maps from the 1st and 2nd century AD. The kit offers an average level of difficulty and is made from A3 carton. The Roman city model is approx. 42 cm long, built to a scale of 1:87. Roman cities followed a uniform city plan, so Romans from other cities could easily find their way around — and the layout made the city easy to defend in times of war. At the center of the model stands a bronze statue: possibly a senator or politician from the area. The streets are tiled with long tiles, typically Roman, with high sidewalks. The center features a temple, and the building next to it has several shops with the classic Roman counters. Along the street sit two beautiful villas, each with a spacious inner garden (atrium) and a pond. Best of all, this building kit lets you look inside the buildings!
