Product description
This model building kit offers an average level of difficulty. Made from A3 carton and printed in eight colors, the Colosseum model measures 47 x 39 cm at a scale of 1:400.The Colosseum is the largest of all Roman amphitheaters. Its opening was celebrated on coins across the Roman empire. The theater hosted a variety of performances, including the popular gladiator battles. Beneath the 'podium', wild animals were kept and used in combat. An advanced system of canals even allowed water to be pumped into the Colosseum for sea battles. This detailed model captures the Colosseum in all its glory. Remove a section to reveal the inside of the building. A large cloth was hung over the Colosseum to provide shade during the summer heat. Statues filled the arches throughout the building.
