Product description
Medieval swords didn't develop a cross-guard until the 11th century. That design held steady through the Crusades: a cross-shaped hilt with a slim blade and a pommel that could take various shapes.
The carbon steel blade is forged into the grip and secured to the pommel. A fuller runs along most of the blade for flexibility and balance. The disc pommel and cross-guard are made from steel. The sword is 88 cm long, with a 70 cm blade, and weighs 1,600 grams.
This sword is an Oakeshott type Xa.
This sword is suitable for light sword fights.
