Product description

The design draws inspiration from a historical model found in London and dated 1200–1400. Ring decorations run around its circumference, making it both attractive and easy to handle. The tapered ends hold shorter pieces of thread securely.

The reel measures 12 x 3 cm. Historical finds of thread spools from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance show that these objects were common in medieval households. Rural thread reels were often larger and could hold multiple threads, while shorter, more compact spools were less frequent. Read more
