This long peasant's dress is made from sturdy cotton fabric (twill). The upper part features a close-fitting cut with a center front placket and wooden buttons. Lace up the back to dial in a custom fit. Laced up, the dress takes on the look of a bodice or corsage. The sewn-on skirt piece gathers at the waist for a feminine silhouette. Side pockets sit at hip level. Historically, this sleeveless medieval dress suits a high to late Middle Ages period style. Pair it with the right accessories and it works great as a base for portraying a maidservant, a peasant woman, or a female pirate. On cooler days, wear it over a long-sleeved dress or shift.
