Product description
This loom is modeled after 11th–14th century originals. Romans and Germanic peoples used similar looms long before the medieval period. It features 12 drawers and 13 holes for weaving. Like a standard loom, this fixed shaft drawer loom lets you create beautiful fabric belts or decorative edges for the hem of your medieval clothing — the thread thickness determines the result. The width of the loom sets the width of the woven ribbon. A fixed shaft drawer loom is ideal for learning belt weaving: it's affordable, easy to find, and much simpler to use than loom planks. Keep in mind, though, that unlike plank weaving, a loom can only produce longitudinal striped edges — not complex patterns.
