Product description
In the early 14th century, kettle hats with sloping brims like this one began to appear. Advances in metalworking made it cheaper to produce kettle hats from a single piece. The more sloped brim deflects projectiles from above, reducing the impact on both the helmet and the head. This design proved so effective that even aristocrats wore it. The brim protects against downward blows and projectiles, while the helmet delivers an excellent field of vision, good hearing, and optimal protection.
The maximum internal circumference of this kettle hat is 68 cm, not including the helmet liner. It comes with a liner and chin strap. If you want to wear additional padded lining, measure your head circumference while wearing it. The padded liner already attached inside the helmet is usually sufficient. Remove the liner to create more space inside the helmet.
