Product description
Slim, lightweight, and fast, this dagger makes an effective weapon and tool. In medieval battles, daggers were the weapon of choice for close combat — used to finish off the enemy. Nearly every soldier carried one, for practical use as well as offense and defense. The Crecy dagger is a classic replica of medieval originals, named after the Battle of Crecy in 1346. Daggers like this saw action throughout the Hundred Years War. A beautifully shaped cross-guard and a suede-leather-wrapped grip make it comfortable in the hand. The patinated steel finish gives the dagger an authentic look and makes it easy to maintain. Includes a scabbard with belt loop.
The Battlecry line of historical swords, daggers, and axes was designed in collaboration with John Clements, whose knowledge of historical fencing and medieval and Renaissance fighting methods is unsurpassed. Windlass Steelcrafts hand-forges every piece from high-quality 1065 tempered carbon steel for strength and resilience. The swords feature an extra-wide full tang, and all weapons are sharp and suitable for cutting tests.
Every model goes through rigorous physical testing that exceeds industry standards. The patinated finish makes each weapon look even more authentic and historical. Craftsmen inspect each weapon individually at every step of manufacturing — only pieces that pass inspection receive the blacksmith's mark on the blade. Each weapon ships with a certificate signed by every craftsman who worked on it, a matching scabbard, and a swordfrog where applicable.
