This medieval brooch is shaped like a bust, modeled after a medieval pilgrim's sign, and bears the inscription "Amours". The original model was a pilgrim's sign from Amsterdam dating from 1350 to 1449 AD, now held in the Beuningen family collection. "Amours" appears on several medieval badges and pilgrim signs, translating as love — suggesting its use as a love offering between two lovers. The brooch measures 3 x 2.8 cm and features a sturdy needle on the back. An additional eyelet lets you wear it as a pendant too. Made from high-quality bronze.
