Product description

This lunula amulet is a replica of a 10th-century original excavated in the region of the Kievan Rus. Around the 10th century, the Slavic peoples passed this tradition of wearing lunula amulets on to the Vikings of the Baltic Sea region. Long before that, the Germanic tribes wore lunula amulets — a tradition the Romans later adopted. Women and girls wore them most often as symbols of protection.
