Product description
This lorica segmentata is a replica of the earliest lorica segmentata type — the Kalkriese type. The original was possibly worn in 9 AD at the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest. Parts of similar loricae were found at several sites, including Velsen (The Netherlands), where a major battle was fought in 28 AD.
Made from 1.3 mm thick steel and ornamented with brass, this lorica segmentata fastens with leather straps across the chest. Adjust it to your size — it fits chest circumferences up to 120 cm. It weighs about 7 kg.
