Product description
This lorica hamata is a replica of an original from the 1st century AD. Legionaries wore hauberks like this between the 2nd century BC and the 3rd century AD.
Made from 1 mm thick steel rings with an inner diameter of 6 mm — just like the original loricae hamatae — this hauberk once took nearly two months to produce because of the small rings. It weighs about 30% less than later hauberks. Round punched rings alternate with flat riveted rings. The lorica hamata ships with a shoulder piece finished with a leather edge.
Available in sizes M, L, and XL. Chest circumference is measured with a gambeson/padding included.
