Product description
The guandao is a Chinese pole weapon used in Chinese martial arts. Comparable to the European glaive, it was probably in use from the eleventh century, when it first appeared in the Wujing Zongyao military handbook. Today it is used in modern Wushu. Rather than attacking, the guandao is used to disarm opponents and deflect their strikes. Most guandaos feature a large textile cloth to confuse and distract opponents during a fight.
Made for LARP battles, this guandao is perfect for Asian LARP characters. The weapon is painted to look just like real metal. The shaft is wrapped in red leather for a comfortable grip. Where the shaft meets the head, a golden detail adds a finishing touch. For added authenticity, attach a textile cloth to the guandao yourself to distract your enemies.
