Product description
The German Landsknechten were mercenary soldiers who took over the role of the Swiss Landsknechten around the end of the fifteenth century. Most were pikemen. In the sixteenth century they played an important role in European warfare. German Landsknechten primarily carried a pike and a Katzbalger (short sword), with a dagger as a secondary weapon. This dagger is based on late medieval originals. It features a beautiful wooden grip with a spiral pattern that continues into the steel pommel, and a full tang. The guard has three quillons with ball-shaped ends, also shaped in a spiral — bringing the whole design together beautifully. The dagger comes with a luxurious scabbard made from high-quality leather. Use the belt loop to hang it on your belt, and tie it to the scabbard with the included leather lace to keep it secure even in the heat of battle. The scabbard is decorated with leather lace cross-stitches and has an authentic, handmade look.
