Product description
This ink uses an original recipe made from gall apples, gum arabic, and iron sulphate. Recipes for ink were closely guarded secrets in ancient and medieval times, but reconstruction is possible. This ink follows a recipe from the 3rd century BC. Apply it to paper or papyrus and it starts brown, turning black once fully dry. Each glass bottle holds 10 ml, sealed with a cork and a wax seal featuring the god Mercury.
