This sword is a replica of a 10th-century Viking sword excavated in Dublin. The original is now part of the collection of the National Museum of Ireland, displayed alongside the Ballinderry sword and the Limerick sword. It is a Petersen type AE — a sword type that is relatively rarely excavated.
The sword features a characteristic lobed pommel. It measures 87.6 cm in length, with a sharp carbon steel blade 71 cm long and a hardness of 50–52 HRC. It weighs 1,049 grams and comes with a scabbard.
