Product description
This earthenware cup is based on a 16th-century original. It stands about 10 cm high, holds 0.2L, and measures about 8 cm in diameter. The green glaze on the edge gives the cup its historical character — this color was very popular during the 16th century.Greenware is pottery with a green glazed layer covering all or part of the surface. Potters were already using this style around the 13th century, mainly on the British Isles. By the 14th century, 10 to 20% of all pottery used in London was greenware. On mainland Europe, greenware's popularity grew from the 15th century onward.
