Product description
This coin is a replica of originals minted during the reign of King Henry VIII of England.
Henry VIII of England is the most feared king of the Tudor dynasty. He reigned from 1509–1547. Known as the prototype of the self-aware Renaissance royal, Henry was intelligent and deeply interested in art and science. He was also regarded as a loveless, selfish, and cruel man. Competitors, wives, or servants who stood in his way were killed without mercy. Henry was notorious for his romantic troubles: he had six wives, two of whom were beheaded.
Made from leadless pewter.
The coin comes in a wallet-size card. The card includes historical background, details on what is depicted on the coin, and which goods could be bought with it.
