Product description
Built for HEMA — historical European Martial arts — this rapier traces its origins to 16th-century Europe, reaching its peak during the Renaissance. Slender and pointed, it was often the weapon of choice among noblemen, celebrated for its agility and precision in the era of dueling and sword fighting. Unlike swords from earlier periods, the rapier features a hilt with finger rings and a knuckle guard, making combat with it very different from fighting with the federschwert. This rapier comes with a medium-flexibility blade — the most common blade type used in HEMA tournaments. The blade handles a maximum pressure of 11 to 12 kg, which meets the safety standard at most HEMA tournaments. The tip features a thickening for added safety.
