This bell is hand-forged after historical originals. Bells like this were used from the Middle Ages to around the eighteenth century. This is a smaller design, approximately 12 cm. Bells are mainly associated with church bells, but smaller bells like this one were hung behind the door of a store so you could hear customers coming in. People also used bells to keep order — for example in the classroom. A great addition to your historic interior, perfect for museums and re-enactors.
A ring at the top lets you hang the bell with a cord so it makes a sound when it swings back and forth.
