Product description
Red Dragon — known for their high-quality HEMA plastic training swords — now offers this line of high-level replica historical swords. Each sword ships with a leather scabbard and is made from high-quality steel, hardened for intensive training use.
This sword replicates a 13th century historical one-and-a-half sword, sized between a single-handed and a two-handed blade. The grip is slightly longer than a one-hander's, so when you strike hard, you can slide your second hand up for extra power.
The one-and-a-half-hander features a wooden scabbard wrapped in brown leather and a matching brown leather grip. At 3 mm thick, the edge is built for re-enactment battles and HEMA. The blade is tempered and made from 1075 carbon steel, with a core hardness of 45 HRC and an edge hardness of 50 HRC. That dual-hardness construction keeps the sword flexible and less brittle than comparable models. The result is a combination of excellent craftsmanship and years of HEMA experience.
It excels at slashing, holds up to heavy use, and handles the demands of intensive HEMA training.
