Product description
Helmets like this were worn across Europe and Northern Africa from the 5th century. The Germanic tribes used them widely, and archaeologists have found examples everywhere from Spain and Northern Africa to Germany and the Balkans.
Made from 2 mm thick steel, the helmet features cheek flaps of the type seen on helmets through the 9th century. The nose piece is made from 3 mm thick steel for extra protection. The helmet also includes a chainmail neck guard and a leather inlay.
