This seax is based on originals produced on the British Isles between the 9th and 11th centuries. Find this type of seax primarily in the British Isles and Ireland, though some examples have also turned up in Scandinavia and Germany. People used seaxes like this both as weapons and as everyday cutting tools. They may also have played a ritual role in offerings.
Made from 9260 carbon steel, it features a hardwood grip with a brass crossguard and pommel.
