Product description
This Germanic fibula is a replica of a 6th–7th century original excavated in Kent, England. Germanic tribes wore fibulae like this all over Europe, with particular popularity around the Rhine area. The original is now part of the collection of the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. Germanic women — including Merovingian and Anglo-Saxon women — typically wore fibulae like these in pairs.Product details
