Product description
This Gaelic brooch is a replica of a 9th-century Irish original excavated at Ballyspellan near Kilkenny. Gaelic people across Ireland and Scotland wore brooches like this in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes the pins grew so extraordinarily long that Old Irish law required anyone who accidentally injured someone with a brooch pin to pay a fine.
