Freemasonry arose from the order of the Templars after the Freemasons gave shelter to the persecuted knights and helped them escape to i.a. Scotland. Today, the number of Freemasons is estimated at more than six million.
This two-handed sword features the classic symbols of Freemasonry: the Square and Compasses, the stonemason's hammer, the sun and moon, and the book of science.
The sword measures 116 cm in total length with a 90 cm blade.
The blade is made from 420 stainless steel with 0.4 to 0.5% carbon and 12 to 14% chrome. It has a Rockwell hardness of HRC 48–52 and weighs 1,700 grams.
