How do you make your own LARP weapon? Cut foam into the shape of your desired design and glue it around a sanded fiberglass core — sanding helps the surface grip the glue more effectively. Leave enough foam around the core for safety and sturdiness. Once you've reached the shape you want, dip the weapon in latex and let it dry between coats for a smooth, protective surface.
Maintain your weapon regularly with silicone spray to keep it from drying out.
