This dress is based on a sixth-century archaeological excavation of clothing fragments found in a women's grave near present-day Dortmund. Early medieval illuminated manuscripts from the eighth and ninth centuries — such as the Stuttgart Psalterium — give a more complete picture of this clothing style. Perfect for re-enacting and LARP set in the Great Migrations, Merovingian, and Frankish periods. Manuscripts show that dresses of this era featured contrasting colors and colored fabric strips as decoration. This tunic is a reconstruction of that style.

The dress features three-quarter sleeves and works great with a belt. Side gores — triangular fabric panels that give medieval garments their flare — are built into the design. A button at the back closes the dress.
