Product description
A voulge is a type of polearm that was especially common in 15th-century France.
The voulge typically featured a narrow, single-edged blade, sometimes with an additional cutting edge on the back. A socket mounted the blade onto a wooden shaft. The weapon often included reinforcements along the shaft, called langets, and a round hand guard at the base of the blade. Soldiers who wielded this weapon were known as voulgiers. French archers were among those who used the voulge, and it also appears in period artwork.
The blade head measures 45.5 cm in length and 16 cm in width, with an inner ring diameter of 26.5–28.5 mm.
