A doublet is a closely fitting coat worn by men from the late Middle Ages to the seventeenth century. The doublet originated in Spain and spread across the rest of western Europe. It was developed from body protection such as gambesons and acketons.
Made from a wool mix, this doublet is great to wear over a shirt and pants. Brass-tipped laces close the front, and the sleeves fasten with laces too — detach them on warm days for extra ventilation.
