Product description
This sword is based on originals made in the first half of the 10th century. It is classified as a Petersen Type P. During the period when swords like this were in use, the Vikings were establishing permanent settlements in northern England, creating the Danelaw. This was a period of major Viking expansion, during which they founded Dublin and other settlements in the Irish Sea region. In 872 AD, Harald Fairhair unified Norway. Between 958 and 987 AD, Harald Bluetooth unified Denmark. Both states were modeled on the structures of the Franks and Anglo-Saxons.Product details
