Product description
Roman auxiliae wore this type of scale armor during Antiquity — primarily soldiers of Persian heritage. In Persia, the tradition of wearing scale armor like this predates even the campaigns of Alexander the Great. Archaeologists excavated more than 30 different variants of this scale armor at Carnuntum, the capital of the Roman province Pannonia. Made from brass, this piece is based on originals worn around 100–250 AD. The scales are attached to a layer of leather.
