Product description
This replica is based on a Late-Roman helmet found in Dunaújváros, Hungary. Roman legionaries wore helmets like this around the 3rd century AD. At that time, a fort for auxiliary troops stood in Dunaújváros. Historians believe the helmet designs found there were derived from those of the Persian Empire, which was rising during that period. The eyes on the top, however, are typically Roman.
Made from steel, the helmet comes with cheek plates and a neck plate. A leather inlay provides added comfort. Fits head circumferences up to 61 cm.
