Product description
This sword is based on a 10th-century original found in Denmark. It is classified as Petersen type S and closely resembles the Chertsey sword, discovered in the London area of England. Petersen categorized 22 Viking swords as type S, making this type — along with Oakeshott type X — among the most commonly found originals. The original blade bears the inscription +ULFBERH+T, the mark of the famous Frankish sword maker. Today, the original is part of the collection at the National Museum (Nationalmuseet) in Copenhagen.
This sword includes a wooden scabbard wrapped in leather, complete with a belt loop and a scabbard tip.
