Product description
This helmet is a replica of an Anglican helmet found in York, England. It dates from the 8th century AD and is a rare find — very few helmets from this period have ever been discovered. An inscription was engraved on the brass edge: 'In the name of our lord Jesus, the holy spirit and god, and to all we say amen, Our Lord, Christ.' See the original at the Jorvik Museum.
The helmet is lined with leather for added comfort and comes with riveted neck protection. It fits heads with a circumference of up to 61 cm and weighs about 3.3 kg.
This helmet is a museum replica.
