Product description
The chainmail coif dates back to at least the 11th century AD. Wear it on its own or beneath a helmet. Many depictions, such as those in the Morgan Bible from 1250, show it fitting snugly around the head. Leather laces at the top improve the fit, while additional laces fasten the lower edge to the gambeson or hauberk, keeping the coif securely in place. For added comfort, wear a textile cap or arming cap underneath.
Made from 1,6 mm thick zinc-coated butted round rivets with an inner diameter of 8 mm, woven in a four-in-one pattern. The coif features a square neckline and weighs about 3 kg.
