Product description
This sword is modeled after several 15th-century hand-and-a-half swords. One of these models is now part of the collection at the Musée de Cluny.
Developed by the makers of John Lee, this sword excels in both sharp and blunt configurations. Sharp, it's perfectly suited for cutting tests; blunt, it handles intensive sword fighting. The leather on the grip and scabbard more closely resembles that of expensive Valiant Armoury models than others in its price range — and the grip leather strongly echoes that of several originals.
This sword ships blunt and weighs about 1.3 kg. The blade is made from 4310 carbon steel with a hardness of 53 HRC, measures 92 cm long, and has good flexibility. Total length is 119 cm, with a cross-guard spanning 21 cm wide.
A perfect fit for re-enactors, collectors, and sword fighting schools.
This sword is an Oakeshott type XVII.
