Product description
The claymore often featured a long ricasso covered with leather, allowing the user to grip the blade with two hands when the enemy closed in. The earliest claymores saw use in the 16th century; the last ones appeared in the 18th century. These later models had a cross-guard ending in a honeycomb pattern, designed to parry an opponent's blows.
The blade is hand-forged and polished. The sword measures 122 cm overall, with a 91 cm blade and a 21 cm grip. It weighs about 1.81 kg.
