Product description
This cintus is based on belt fittings found in the fortification of Transdierna, present-day Tekija, in Serbia. They date from the second half of the 1st century AD, during the Flavian period. The original buckle is made of silver and is part of the collection at the National Museum in Belgrade.
The belt features two hangers for a pugio (a Roman dagger). Made from cowhide leather and tinned brass, it fits a waist circumference of 97 to 116 cm. Add extra holes to adjust it for a larger size. Weight: about 800 g.
