Product description
The sgian dubh has a small wooden handle. The name sgian dubh means "black knife." Highlanders mainly wore this knife in their sleeve during the 17th and 18th centuries. When a highlander entered a house, custom required him to leave his sword outside. If a fight broke out, he could draw the sgian dubh hidden in his sock to defend himself. After Culloden, soldiers of the Black Watch regiment always wore this dagger in their sock. The knife measures 20 cm in total length, with a 10 cm blade.
