Product description
This tunic is based on original fragments from find B23 in Birka. Birka was an important trading city in (early) medieval Sweden. Archaeologists found a ring with an Arabic inscription in one of the graves, showing that Birka maintained trade contacts with the Orient alongside its Scandinavian, Finnish, Western European, and Central European trade. The city's trading position declined around 1000, when a Christian city was founded nearby.
The Knut tunic is great for re-enacting, Cosplays, and LARP from the Great Migration to the High Middle Ages. Made from 100% cotton, it features an ornate embroidered edge at the neckline. The front split and side gores add extra fabric where you need it, making the tunic easy to wear whether you're fighting, running, climbing, or riding. The neckline has a split you can leave open or fasten with a fibula.
