Product description
This ancient Greek coin (drachme) is a replica of several originals from the 6th century AD. Minted in the Greek city state of Athens, it features animals on its face — a common choice among early coins representing their city states. One side shows a pegasus, the winged horse of Greek mythology. The other side depicts a warrior with a Corinthian helmet shoved half over his head.
Made from silvered pewter, it measures about 2 cm in diameter.
