Product description
This type of fibula was worn throughout Europe around the 6th century AD. The striking art style appears in Friesian, Langobardic, Merovingian, Frankish, and Anglo-Saxon jewelry, among others. Communities regularly used these jewels for trade. This enameled brooch replicates an original used as an Alemannic grave gift in grave 511 at the Alemannic grave field of Weingarten. The brooch features an inlay of two different colors of enamel.
