Product description
This rapier is a replica of originals from the late sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. During this period, Europeans used the rapier in place of the sword. The rapier originated in Spain in the fifteenth century as a weapon for self-defense and duels. By the following century, soldiers were carrying it into battle as well. Primarily a weapon of the elite, it was prized for its beautiful, streamlined form.
Made from carbon steel, the rapier is semi-sharp and features a grip wrapped in steel wire. It comes with a black leather scabbard with steel ends.
